Household Plumbers
We work with private home owners, landlords and commercial letting agents like William Rose to provide a comprehensive household plumbing service. We install new bathrooms, boilers, hot water and heating systems. We carry out routine maintenance and repair work, and deal with internal and external drainage.
Unlike many domestic plumbers, SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd are able to complete all related building work during the installation and maintenance of plumbing fittings and fixtures. This holds down the cost whilst ensuring the whole project is completed to the client’s satisfaction, without unnecessary delay.
Commercial Plumbers
SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd works for many high profile clients including Park Lane Hilton Hotel, The American Embassy in Central London, Waitrose, John Lewis and HSBC among many others.
Our engineers undertake all hot and cold water installations. We install, maintain and repair staff and visitor washroom and toilet facilities and we are able to deal with all internal and external drainage problems.
We also respond rapidly to customers’ emergency calls.
Recent Plumbing Projects
For the prestigious Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London we have installed new male and female toilet and shower facilities. The challenge on this particular project was gaining direct access to the main drains as the toilet block was in a basement. To overcome the problem we traced out the drainage system servicing the hotel complex and worked out a way of getting the drainage from the toilet blocks into the main sewers using a gravity feed system without the need or complication of an expensive pump system.
On a smaller scale, but of no less importance for the customer, is a bathroom refurbishment in Brentwood that we have recently completed. There were several challenges to this project, including the installation of an oversized bath into a marble recess without it overpowering the rest of the bathroom. By incorporating a bigger basin, creating more space around the toilet area and adding a range of products and different themes, the result is an elegant bathroom that is attractive, safe and practical for a growing family.
In a large house in Hutton, Brentwood, we have replaced the heating system and introduced 12 cast iron radiators, to complement the Victorian themed design of the house
In a home in Billericay we have installed a bathroom suite with all the trimmings, including a top of the range Cross-Water shower, with level access tray – meaning no trip edges. The transformation was completed with a full height towel rail, oak floor and decorative, bespoke wall radiator.
