SJB Mechanical & Building Services engineers are skilled and experienced in the installation, maintenance and repair of all domestic and commercial heating and hot water systems. We install the latest technological innovations including air sourced heat pumps, solar panels and energy efficient underfloor heating.

Central Heating Installation, Boiler Servicing & Repairs
We install new central heating systems for domestic and commercial customers in Essex, London and the surrounding areas. We are approved installers of Viesmann, Vaillant, Glow Worm and Ideal boilers.
We service all domestic and commercial heating systems. While prevention is always better than cure, we provide breakdown and repair services for heating and plumbing systems. As qualified Gas Safe Engineers we are able to provide gas installation and certification for gas-powered central heating systems.

Underfloor Heating
SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd is an approved installer of NU Heat products.
Underfloor heating works by pumping a controlled flow of warm water from any heat source through plastic tubing embedded in the floor. Because the emitting area is large, sufficient warmth is provided even on a cold winter day with no need for supplementary heating.
We design and install underfloor heating according to the needs of each client. Underfloor heating can be included at the build stage of a new project or it can be effectively retrofitted to an existing property.
Underfloor heating can incorporate energy efficient and renewable power sources such as solar panels and air source heat pumps.
Air Source Heat Pumps Installation & Servicing
Air Source Heat Pumps convert the latent heat in the outside air to usable heat for domestic, commercial and industrial properties. Heat exchange technology, including Air & Ground Source Heat Pumps are included as renewable energy sources by the EU as they generate 3 to 4 times as much energy as they use.
As approved Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) engineers, SJB Mechanical & Building Services Ltd are able to help clients register for grants and financial incentives, including the Feed-in Tariff and the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme.
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an internationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. MCS certifies microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.

Example of our Boiler Servicing Contracts
We maintain six buildings within central London for a major auction house. Under this contract we service all of the company’s boilers every six months, we service ten boilers at one location alone. Given the nature of the business conducted and products storesd in these premises, temperature and humidity are very tightly controlled. For this client we service a wide range of boilers including Potterton, Concorde, Worcester Green Star, Hamworthly and Remeha.

Recent Heating Projects
Church Heating – Ilford, Essex
SJB Mechanical & Building Services were commissioned to install a new heating system at Goodmayes Church in Ilford, Essex. Goodmayes Church is an historic building and subject to various preservation orders and restrictions regarding work carried out. In designing the project we worked closely with the Ministry and the Local Authority. By running pipework at a high level through the church and making it blend in with the surroundings we created an energy efficient solution to the heating requirement without disturbing the fabric and character of the building.
Under Floor Heating & Air Sourced Heat Pumps, Rainham, Essex
This is a new build project, covering four new properties. These four properties are timber framed as they have been built on a flood plain. To comply with the local building mandates we have installed under floor heating, with power supplied by air sourced heat pumps.
